Beyond the Horizon (BTH) 2013 is an exercise that deploys US military engineers and medical personnel to Panama and El Salvador for training, as well as providing humanitarian services to rural communities.

Held annually, BTH US South and USA Part of the Southern Command's (SOUTHCOM) humanitarian and civil assistance program. Working closely with host country forces and civilian organizations, BTH teams provided medical, dental and engineering support.

FORT BRAGG, N.C. - U.S. The Mobile Training Team (MTT) provided security support training to Panamanian officers, helping the partner nation develop its noncommissioned officer (NCO) corps February 5-28, 2022.

The MTT, which includes soldiers from the Fort Bragg-based Security Assistance Training Management Organization (SATMO), trained 52 of Panama's Servicio Nacional Aeronautical (SENAN), Servicio Nacional de Fronteras (SENAFRONT), Policia Nacional and Servicio de Protecs (SENAFRONT), Servicio Nacional de Fronteras Trained leaders. Designed to reduce preventable deaths, the course emphasized rapid casualty assessment, tourniquet application, pressure dressing application, wound packing, hemostatic dressing application, and airway maneuvers.

Participants also performed mission briefs and trained in close quarters and hand-to-hand combat. The experience proved to be a win-win for both the Panamanian and American coaches.

- The importance of conducting training with different organizations is important to us as it strengthens knowledge and strengthens our ability to conduct business together with our units.
